I have coin that seems to be 5 fen Manchukoko 11 year.
Asking for its evaluation, it has strange defect on obverse - is it a mint error or post mint error?
In ngc site for this coin years 11 and 12 are listed while in numista just 10 and 11.

years 10-11 for the aluminum Y# A13 and years 11-12 for the fiber Y# A13a N#22470
You are correct, I see it now.
Mine is aluminium.
I can't find ngc page for it.
Thanks, the prices here are more reasonable.
What do you think about the defect on my coin? Is that a post mint damage?
Could be a planchet defect/laminations but I suspect it a result of corrosion causing the blistering/delaminations.
The coins of this period are notorious for these linear defects and because even UNCs look like that I would guess they used or overused shitty dies. Or the aluminium planchets were the issues I am not 100% sure about that because the defects also go over some devices.
Coins without them have a high premium.

Interesting, so would you grade it as Fine or Very Fine? I understand the value would be about 3-5 dollars?
Personally, I would set it on the low end of that estimation because of quite some wear and several deep gauges in combination with the distracting planchet issues.
