Austria 5⁄10 Kreuzer 1885 - small and large eagle - where to see a difference

9 berichten • 95 keer bekeken

Hello,

We have these 2 coins types in the catalogue, but not sure where to see the difference between the eagles on them.

N#20862

N#26810

May I be correct that the coin illustrates large eagle in numista catalogue is a small eagle type?

Just compare to my coin with different proximity of the feather to the orb or different position of the tail to the letters.

My personal list of scammers from Numista: erniemix, yvain, CassTaylor

Small and large eagle are only for year 1885 for this K und K coin

here is back side of graded MS63 small eagle:

This is back side of MS66 large eagle

1877-1885 (small eagle, has no mintmark)

1885 (large eagle - extending of feather behind the sceptre (orb with cross) on the bottom right)

I collect german coins so am quite familiar

Weights may vary as well, maybe a tenth of a gram

So, am I correct that the coin illustrates large eagle type on numista has small eagle?

The bottom right feather is of different length too, near orb. I think even grading companies grade it with some confusion omg.

Right, never saw that. Ist es jetzt besser?
