Hidden deposit in the attic = banknotes valuation (Reichsmarks)

Hello dear Numista friends.

A friend of mine was making repairs at home and found a hidden deposit in the attic.

I hope that we have some experts here in Reichsmarks.

This is the first time I have come across a banknote set.

5 Reichsmark (in set, most in unc quality) N#203665

G-17012542 and so one

20 Reichsmark (50/50 unc and circulated quality) N#206500

L-0054365 and so one

50 Reichsmark (some are unc quality all bent in the middle) N#206485

D-0662376 and so one

Any ideas about the value of this banknotes?

Added some extra pictures from this find, not related to the banknotes :)

Germany, 5 Reichsmark, ND (1940-1945): The truly uncirculated ones sell for $25 on ebay. The circulated ones sell for about $8.

Germany, 20 Reichsmark, 1940-1945: These sell for about $6 in VF condition.

Germany, 50 Reichsmark, 1939-1945: These sell for about $8 in circulated condition (folded notes are not uncirculated).

Beautiful, the Latvian silver coins are likely worth more. Noticed a Tsarist era 50 Kopeck coin too (Poltina).

My guess is you are in a coastal part of Latvia, that was once on the extreme northern edge of Prussia before 1918? and then again in 1939/1940 before Latvia “applied for membership of the Soviet Union?”

This is nice and might be a historic find from WW2. My guess is it was probably some Jewish Latvians hiding their valuables from Nazis or Soviets. Many Jews in Latvia spoke  German and Yiddish and considered themselves more Germanic than Russian or Latvian.

I know this as one of our famous scientists is of Latvian Jewish descent and his ancestors came here in the 1900s to escape Russian pogroms and many came later in the 1930s to escape anti semitism.

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.
