Can anyone tell me what this says???

it looks a little off to me, but its supposed to say “Tự Đức Thông Bảo”

this is vietnamese written in chinese characters (chu nom)

Hello,

Welcome aboard 😃

These large bold characters indicate that this coin is a modern reproduction used for fengshui and its auspicious power.

Here is the sheet of the genuine coin:

中文嗣德通宝,行用钱为安南钱,这种是非行用钱,在中国叫做花钱,这枚钱币是工艺品,并非古代钱币

The Chinese-style '嗣德通宝' is a currency used in Annam, but this is not a currency in circulation. In China, it is called 'spending money'. This coin is a craft item, not an ancient coin.

From the picture it looks like it's the size of a wagon wheel. 😂

i wouldnt be surprised to see a wagon with all 4 wheels being just massive cash coins if i lived in 1860s vietnam
