Greetings fellow numismatists! Here's one for all of you to think about. I have a 16 skilling 1812 coin from Denmark. Problem is, it doesn't seem to exist. Closest thing i get too is 12 skilling 1812 with identical design. Link to the 12 skilling: N#47936
I realise that the pictures arent great but at least it's a start.
I also realise that the 16 looks VERY carved and not very natural. Which makes me think it might possibly be a fake. But, it's larger and heavier than the 12 skilling with it being 28 mm and 12,1 grams as opposed to the 12 skilling 24,45 mm and just under 11,7 grams.
Any ideas? Fake? Pattern? Unknown coin? Or just a novelty item? All help is greatly appreciated!
