I came across this coin yesterday and am really struggling to find anything about it. It appears (if genuine) to be much older than any I've ever come across.

It's 22mm in diameter, at its widest point.

About 1.2g

No idea what the composition is.

One side appears to have a long cross type symbol, surrounded by crowns. On the reverse, there is what appears to be a man standing under an archway, with the possible letters ‘KII’ to the left.

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you. Photos are below.

I have seen similar before, but can not remember where.

With a King standing in an archway or alcove. Maybe a jeton.

Cropped, rotated, brightened

That had the dots below the archway and something vertical on left, so is similar.

Though the reverse was only slightly similar. This is better, but still different >

The cross side of the coin is definitely the 4th one, but I feel the King is standing in my one, as opposed to the seated King on the 4th.

It's definitely enough for me to go searching for more information now anyway, thank you.

No problem, just a prerequisite, there are many new types of coins/exonumia (including jetons) being dug up every once in a while, so you can't really expect that someone on the web has one similar as yours 😀

After I sent that, I thought I'd best Google what a jeton is! I see now that it could quite easily be a mixture of those on that answer you'd sent.

I appreciate your help on this and I'm glad I've learnt something today, too.

Thanks
