When I flip this coin with medal alignment the backside of the coin has a misaligned design. Is this error common for this coin?

At least I haven't gotten one with off-set, but there are a plain and reeded edged versions of the 1918 coin.

These were overstruck on an earlier coin, so impressions of the host coin, reeding/no reeding, misalignment are common
