One of the more enigmatic tokens produced of the time, there is essentially no information about them known to numismatics besides their existence. They seem to have been produced in Birmingham, possibly for the new country of Colombia. They are not found in that country but in Britain, so it can be assumed they were produced optimistically but were never exported. Columbia at the time did not use base metal coinages, so it can be postulated that these farthings were rejected for that reason alone.
