I have no idea how to search for these

They appear Asian, maybe Chinese? Japanese?  Despite appearing “rusty” they are non-ferrous so I suspect some sort of bronze alloy.  I inherited them from my uncle (d. 1986) through my father.  Nothing written on the holders, so I have absolutely no clue what they are, if they're even coins. TIA.

Welcome to Numista.  I suspect these are all Chinese “lucky coins" or charms. Used for decorative purposes and rituals such as fortune telling, Chinese superstitions, Feng Shui, etc. similar to these and some featuring the Chinese zodiac.

So, essentially worthless except as a novelty.  Pretty much what I was expecting.
