Dear Collectors!

I would like to ask for help in variety attribution of this chinese 10 cash coin.

N#5669

Thank you for your help!

Kind regards,

Ilya

Anyone knows, which variety in Numista catalog this coin is?

Yes, and so do you, if you read the comments in the year lines while regarding your coin….. it's easy!

Unfortunately, the Numista catalog does not have pictures for varieties, that's why I wanted to ask. I think it is likely Y#301, because of the rosettes, however I am not entirely sure what does the “6-pointed stars separating the legend” mean, because during the quick search I couldn't find such coins, at least among the “Past sales” provided on the page. I mean that the "6-pointed stars" could also mean the rosettes, since the rosettes consist of 7 points, one of which is the the center. I wanted to verify that it is truly the Y#301 and not Y#301.3 or Y#301.4. Unfortunately I don't have any catalogs for this theme yet, because it is new for me.

You have rosettes.

Okay, thank you!

When you don't have a catalog, the catalog comes to you:

Unfortunately, I believe the pictures for the Y# 301.1 are not correct: the pictures are not corresponding with the description. The second character is not rounded (obverse) and the legend is not separated by three dots (reverse).

And yes, like sjoelund says, you have the Y# 301, the one with the rosettes.

Here's a proper picture of the Y# 301.1 with three dots separating the legend and rounded second character:

Thank you very much Essor Prof !
