Hello

Cataloging help

Silver medal of the 450th anniversary of the Speyer shooting society (google translation, correct?)

Composition: 925 silver? (If you can confirm me)

Type: Souvenir medals › Event souvenir? (In this category right)?

Obverse: Does anyone know the square where the soldiers parade or recognize the buildings behind?

Reverse: I know the coat of arms is Speyer Cathedral (Central figure at the bottom (shield with building)), but the medal features a type of heraldic shield, does anyone have any reference to it? (he couldn't find anything). Or is this just a flourish to embellish the medal?

Descriptions for the front and back are also accepted:P

Thank you

Naitins

Really interesting history to the shutzengesellschaft if you fancy some background reading…. September 29th 1979 was their 450th anniversary love a bit of history.

History of the Schützengesellschaft – SG Speyer e.V. (sg-speyer.de)

If it is part of the charm of collecting coins and boletes, learn about the history associated with them.

Thanks DizzyBlue
