1883 Love token opinions [opgelost]

This love token was engraved on a U.S. 1883 Liberty Nickel. Gold plated or gold painted. Unsure at this point and unfortunately we will never know if it was the with or without cents variety. Please tell me what and how many initials you see or what you see as simply embellishment engravings on this love token. I  would like to come to some sort of consensus on what is on this token.  Thanks in advance.

I see three initials hmmmm …. CSE … but could be a fourth…. looking at the top and bottom of the straight back of the E

C at the back then the S over the top of that and then the E interlinking the other two…..  But have to say I wanted to say the the E also looks like the capital letter i with one side adding the branches for the E

Thank you for your time and observation.

Bump - Opinions please. Is it a E S (C) or is what looks like what may be a C just decorative embellishment?

Have you noticed that each letter has its own pattern inscribed within it?

S has two horizontal lines close together

E has zig zags

C has multiple wavey lines

The only reason I thought the letter I was there was the strange way the E peals at the top and bottom

Hi, Harry.  It could be a monogram for the letters: "E S G".  Take a look at this one for comparison:

N#395875

Do you see the spur with the split on the end?   The last letter on your monogrammed love token also has a split on the end.   I made an image below comparing the two.  Just an alternate theory.

Thank you all for your observations. Not sure I see a GHN on that one either but it is food for thought.  ESG, ESC. So far I think everybody sees the E and S clearly but that C, G, or possibly just an embellishment is what I am having difficulty with. I would appreciate a few more opinions please to see if there is some kind of consensus or at least a majority opinion.
