Weimar Republic coins

If I compare Numista catalog with 2013 Standard Catalog of Coins and really with a ton of websites showing the coins, it looks like Numista has the obverse and reverse backwards for all of the coins. It looks like the coins from the Weimar Republic had the number on the obverse and the image and year on the reverse.  At least that is what the catalog has and 99% of the websites.

I think it looks better the way Numista has it but I do not believe it is accurate to the coins.

I realize most coins have the number on the back and image on the front but I do not believe that is the way these were designed. Is the intent of the Numista catalog to be accurate as to how the coins were made or to be consistent with other listings?  Again, I like it better the way it is listed on Numista but I do not believe that is how the coin was designed. If you look at all the listings on web pages, etc, it is opposite.

Thanks.
Compare the Krause Mishler Catalog.
It's correct.

All other Catalogs and Grading Institutes take the right=NICE Side Obverse.  :°

actually this is an ongoing discussion within the team.
there are several arguments which earn attention before deciding which is obverse and which is reverse.

1) Obverse is the side with the name of the country regardless of any other information or detail present
        (see for example: Kazakhstan)
2) Obverse is the side with the ruler's or monarch's head regardless of any other
(see for example: British coins, portrait of Elizabeth II)
3) Obverse is the side with the official coat of arms if present
        (see Belarus, USSR coins etc.)
4) Reverse is the side with the denomination present
(see for example: all coins with denomination  :)  - however does not apply if rules 1-3 are
         violated by this one)
5) Reverse is the side with the commemorated event, person etc., the scene, picture whatever
(does not appy to all coins - see rule 1, especially Kazakhstan and others)

we tend to use rules 1,2 and 3 - but not all coins in the catalog got "corrected".
