If I compare Numista catalog with 2013 Standard Catalog of Coins and really with a ton of websites showing the coins, it looks like Numista has the obverse and reverse backwards for all of the coins. It looks like the coins from the Weimar Republic had the number on the obverse and the image and year on the reverse. At least that is what the catalog has and 99% of the websites.
I think it looks better the way Numista has it but I do not believe it is accurate to the coins.
I realize most coins have the number on the back and image on the front but I do not believe that is the way these were designed. Is the intent of the Numista catalog to be accurate as to how the coins were made or to be consistent with other listings? Again, I like it better the way it is listed on Numista but I do not believe that is how the coin was designed. If you look at all the listings on web pages, etc, it is opposite.
Thanks.
