Vatican City: Year lines? [opgelost]

Most year lines in numista appear like this:

In SCWC as this:

SCWC don't mention sets. The mintage is different. Which is correct?

Numista is illogical, since (In sets) has a higher mintage than the circulation coin, can that be true?

I can't respond to all of them but for this particular example SCWC combined the mintage for regular circulation coins and for mint sets.  While SCWC has mintages for some mint sets for whatever reason they don't have it for the 1981 MS.

Someone found the mintage split for 1981 and added it to Numista.  124,000 seems reasonable compared to the data SCWC has for that time frame.

Looking at another example KM# 161 Numista has:

for a total of 220,000.  SCWC has the same 220,000 total:

but also has 120,000 of the 220,000 as being in the mint set:

I can't explain the slight difference in the mintage split in Numista but the total matches.

One issue remains, are the set coins in anyway different from the circulation coins? If not they should not have their own year line. Also the comment ‘in set only’ should only be used for years that are only available in sets … like the words literally express.

I remember having changed that for one euro-country some months ago. I can't remember which one or ones any longer!

As for other Countries in Numista, the lines are splitted in circulation and sets. They will stay as they are until further guidelines from Admin.

Different packaging should not become a different yearline, unless coins are made differently for sets. We do not yet have any fields for packaging except general comment field.

Will that ever be enforced?

It should be enforced, but having said that, there will be packaging/sets area in the future, so if it does not pose a real problem, I can save time I would have spent on that.

This a fake problematic. It is well documented krause is not the right catalog for non USA/Canada coins

Vatican City issues coins for collectors mainly. This is why sets have higher mintage than circulation.
