Any info on the overprint or its significance?

The markings on the note are not overprints. Most likely they are inked stamps from a bank in Natal, Brazil after verifying authenticity or an amount where that was the top note on the stack. No added value although it is a wonderful indication of the note being in Brazil that day. That note has obviously done a lot of traveling.
