When is it Exonumia and when is it not ?

Im confused on what actually classifies exonumia and what doesnt.

For instance an old metro or current metro token is classified but would a metro ticket be classified as well ?

If not why

What about those flat oval coins you from machines at amusement parks ?

ive seen old tokens from national parks , those seem to be classifies .

You can read all about it on this page.

So those pressed and elongated coins from amusement parks count. From what i can see.

How ?

There was divided opinion on that…

and one party decided. The other party is not reconciled.

that's how it goes here.

I have to laugh, because this very day I am being asked to approve a catalog entry for just such an item, which I must approve, but which will draw the ire of certain other members who deplore such things passionately.😇

Wooooow . Quite the rabbit hole .
I had no idea 😂 .

to add another caveat  that was probably already discussed the pokemon elongated coins i got in Japan were not damaged coins. Like i put 200 yen and got a generic coin stretched .

Anyways . I wont bother . Refaning the flames 🤣

I had not seen this topic, I find it both funny and sad. In the United States, elongated cents are a type of Exonumia and there are books/catalogs on the subject. For example: https://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/yesterdays-elongateds.html?srsltid=AfmBOort33gVEIFMqkdqklWGlSvSotF-eSEG5_0B24GQrE4ECFe71tj9
