In the suggestions and bugs pages some topics have a comment in grey color, as a subtitle, and many times the comment has a tag like “[…]” at the beginning to classify the topic. I guess these comments are management by Xavier and the height level Numista team.

When I think of a suggestion, I first look at suggestions already posted so as not duplicate it, but there are about 1200 pending suggestions, some with unclear title. This makes it difficult to find similar suggestions, leading to duplicate suggestions.
The current tagging system could be developed in order to all members can take advantage of it.
- Define a reduce and clear set of tags: I found these in topics (some topics have two tags), in English (and some also in French):
[API]
[Catalogue]
[Catalogue edition]/[Modification du catalogue]
[Coin edition] → Now: Object edition
[Country list]/[Liste des pays]
[Export]
[Forum]
[Messages] (it refer to private messages)
[Miscellaneous]
[My collection]/[Mes pièces]
[Numisdoc] – outdated, Numisdoc was closed
[Outings]
[Profile]
[Search]/[Recherche]
[Swap]/[Echanges]
[User list]
[Wish]/[Souhaits]
- The tag in English could be used as internal code, and the translated version could be displayed to members. For example:
Code: [Search]
EN: Search
FR: Recherche
ES: Búsqueda
- Add a filter with these tags/categories (and an “Uncategorized” option for un-tagged topics), to narrow down the list and to make searching easier.
For example, if “Catalogue” and “Profile” are selected, the system only returns suggestions with “[Catalogue]” or “[Profile]” in their comments.
Suggestions page, with categories filter.
- Possibility to request to add a tag/category in a suggestion or bug (for example, using the "Report the message to moderators" button).
