I just heard you all groan at the title lol
I have just about lost the will to live with the coin apps as am getting heaps of possibilities and very little possible matches for 14 coins I purchased last month. Long story purchased as I just fell in love with them so decorative and tactile.
It would seem at sometime they have been over in the early 1960's to see the curator State Museum in Lucknow and they were apparently collect originally by Dr J A Harrison (Late) Reader of Indian at the school of Oriental and African Studies in London. How true that information is is anybody's guess but have a feeling its more than a little accurate. There were little envelopes but the coins weren't in them and the information on the envelopes is very hard to read so I can't match anything up as I can't positively identify the coins which would be nice to do.
Having searched for sometime I thought I would see if anybody here has the ability to narrow down the search field for me or even identify them.
I have had each of them analysed so have exact compositions. Fourteen coins in total hence the No1 post id and will add a couple to each post and number the coins. Some silver some copper but you'll see the full breakdowns of their compositions.
