A 1851O is highly desirable to collectors of this type such as myself as it is the lowest mintage (720,0000) of the type. I would like to obtain this particular date and mint combination and prefer an example with no PMD. However, a holed example is better than no example in my mind. A “GOOD 4” example of a 1851O without the hole would be valued at around $30 U.S. With the hole about $15 U.S. Still desirable but much less value. A more common date for this type such as the 1852P (18,664,000 minted) in “Good 4” condition might be valued at $11 U.S. but with a hole only about $5 U.S.
