Unknown Indian old silver coin #1

Hello!

Please, can you identify & evaluate this islamic Indian (?) silver coin?!

Thanks for your kind help and any piece of information!

Andy 🤝🤗

Weight seems too high for a 27 mm silver coin. Maybe gold with those measurements. Like this:  N#315500

Beautiful coin!

I think @rsirian1 is certainly right about the ruler and mint, but I think this is a silver version.

Afghanistan, Durrani, 2 rupee, Mahmud Shah, first reign, AH 1217=AD 1802-3, RY 1, Bahawalpur mint, KM 244

In future requests kindly simply state diameter and weight, rather than making us read sideways devices.

Yes I saw that one: N#49597 but my comment about weight is why I chose the gold one.

KM 244 23g 25.5mm silver

KM 246 22.15g 27mm gold

OP's coin 22.79 27mm ?

I think this can be settled by the original poster examining the coin carefully to determine the metal. The apparent metals should be stated with all ID requests. If necessary a density test could be performed. Unlike machine-struck coins, hand-struck coins may vary somewhat in diameter.

I agree.
