Sweden Billon coins: Fake or real? [opgelost]

3 berichten • 69 keer bekeken

I've recently gotten these 2 coins, my first silver ones, 40%. 1968 Sweden 1 Krona, and a 1959 10 ore, also swedish.

Im not sure if they are real or not, so I'd like some other peoples opinions.

I don't have a weighing machine to tell the weight but their dimensions are fine [Same as their numista pages].

Also, should I post here in the future if I am asking for opinions on potential forgeries like this or some other place? Thanks

They both look real to me but I wouldn't be certain without making sure the weight is correct and if they are in fact silver.  It's unlikely I think to counterfeit these coins but the 1968 coins comes in two identical looking coins of different compositions with the same weight and dimensions with a very slight difference in thickness that would be hard to be sure about especially on a worn coin.

You're not asking for identification or value so I would post this type of question in the Information and questions forum.

Appreciate your input! Thanks.
