The first few Dollar notes from Fiji was issued the Government of Fiji. My question is, should the Government of Fiji be treated seperatly from the Reserve Bank of Fiji?

As example, see this note:

N#206623

They seem to stop using the "Government of Fiji after P#69. But then it's the Central Monetary Authority of FIji untill P#85

See this for instance:

N#206632

If that's the case, I would request the following signatures belonging to the Reserve Bank of Fiji to be moved to the Government of Fiji, when created:

Harry Parker Ritchie (Only named Ritchie, but could the given and middle name be added?)

David John Barnes

Wesley Barrett

C. A. Stinson

And if the Central Monetary Authority is also a seperate entity, could the following signatures be moved, after creation:

David John Barnes

Ian Craik

R. J. Earland

H. J. Tomkins

Savenaca Siwatibau (This ONLY need to be copied, since it's both on the Reserve bank's and Central Authority's notes)

Thank you :D

The Reserve Bank of Fiji was established in 1983, and started appearing on the banknotes of 1984 onwards. it was phased in as different denominations were added and amended each year. Tomkins and Earland disappeared and Siwatabau took over completely in 1986.

The series 2 decimal notes 1980 - 1993, had the 1980 and 1983 printings as “Central Monetary Authority of Fiji” and thus can be told apart from Reserve Bank Issues.

Earlier Central Monetary Authority note with those words below the value in words.

Later Reserve bank note, this has the words Reserve Bank below the signature.

Fijian notes said Government of Fiji until 1971 (Independence came in late 1970, but it took longer to land on the notes) Fiji only appears as the name on the 1974 onwards notes. the 1974 series of Type A, large notes has 3 signature combinations and then we have the series B with Fiji on the notes.

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.
