I read this as more as a risk of random taxes/tariff and whatever crazy thing our mad king is going to do this week and less about physical security 😆 But to be fair, has it really ever been un-safe here? I think we are very fortunate tbh and that there are a lot of places on this planet that we could live that are far more dangerous.

I've been enjoying coins as an escape from the constant bombardment of for profit news cycle, there is nothing there that I want to be thinking about, ever. haha.

As it is now, the Orange Man and has tariff wars is also affecting coin swapping. As of now I have a few registered letters stuck at US customs since a few montjs back, and there's yet no information when, or if, they will be released.

I've also got a swap that it appears both of our letters are stuck in customs purgatory!
I suspected that maybe customs was taking longer because of all the nonsense going on.
But I feel like shipping a letter sized parcel between the US and Italy should not take more than 3 weeks, at least not in a world where you can get just about anything drop shipped from halfway around the globe in 3 days.

it is pretty dumb that you are afraid of swapping coins with someone in the US just because of tariffs. as long as you don’t send them as a commercial good, tariffs don’t apply to you. Since you are swapping, it should never apply.
If your coins are “stuck in customs” it’s not because of tariffs but regular security concerns.
On top of that, calling the President of my country the “orange man” is disrespectful and shows that you are deranged and have bought into a dumb narrative.

I'm honestly confused, I was intentionally avoiding politics. It's not something I take very seriously. I was just sharing my recent experience with shipping times. I have no idea if any recent policy changes impact it or not. So apologies if anything I said upset you that was certainly not my intent.
