1898-O Barber Dime Value

6 berichten
I recently bought this dime for $19, I found out it was cleaned after it arrived in the mail, but I was told that it is still worth more than what I paid for it. The person unfortunately didn't know how much of the value cleaning took away from it, so if anybody knows I would greatly appreciate any help! They said it would grade roughly at a VF 35-40 if that is of any help to anybody.
Thanks,
Tyler

I think it's value is 15 dollars and higher depending on the condition, but since it's cleaned it's value drops significantly. Your coin looks to be VG to me and uncleaned once could range from 20-40 dollars I think.

I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.
Thanks everybody for your help, but what I was trying to ask was how much did cleaning the coin take away from the value? Thanks again.
Although the coin may be cleaned,

It looks like VF+. I think that you paid a decent amount for the coin, since collectors go nuts over old US coins.
