Year of print for 50 Tam note

Hi all,

I am wanting to know where exactly on the 50 Tam note, you could decipher the year of print. The reason I ask this, is that the numista page to this note type, indicates that you can decipher the year of print as suggested by the Pick table.

Here is a picture of the note I'm looking at;

Thanks.

How to date the notes should be on the catalog page, ideally in the individual year lines as written on the note.

Thanks a lot for that reference - super helpful. What I don't get is why the good folk over at PMG do not use excellent reference material like this. Is it lack of awareness or just plain laziness?

Even with references it is not easy and they might not have had a Tibet expert and don't want to be liable for an error so they kept it generic?

What you sau makes perfect sense - I guess the use of experts that would cost a lot of money in order to decipher a year, which in the grand scheme of things, is not going to add too much value to both PMG's services as well as the end customer, would not be justified.

In the meantime, out of a sense of curiosity, I have deciphered (hopefully correctly), the year of this note. Please see below

If that's correct please consider adding the two pictures of your note and that nice year graphic as an example for that year line.

I'd be glad to do that. Its a small way I can show my appreciation for the knowledge that's freely given on this forum.
