Was wondering if anybody could tell me if this Japan Isshu Gin is Meiji era or Kaei era. And what year it was made.

Could you zoom in the second photo?
Your coin is not from the Meiji era, but it could be from either the Ansei or Kaei era. Very nice coin by the way.

Yours is Ansei, based on the radical strokes in 座.
My book gives a complete description of all the varieties, so maybe I can provide you a scan to see if your coin is a rare variety.

It's probably common though.
I don't think the two eras are listed on Numista; I think they're just one variety. I think I narrowed it down for you though.
