Dvaravati refers to a Mon Confederate Kingdom in what is today Central Thailand, though at times it is believed that their rule extended from parts of Eastern Myanmar to Cambodia. They issued a number of coins, of different styles in both Silver and Gold (though mostly silver) and some members do in fact have coins from the issuers in their collections. It is, from the looks of it, a significant issuer that has been left out of the catalogue and I think will make a great addition to the Issuer list. For currency, it would be helpful if it had a Ratti system like many of the other polities near it at the time.

Would you be able to point out which coins you are referring to?

As far as I can tell, there are no coins attributed to Dvaravati currently in the catalog. While I agree this issuer should be created as there ARE Dvaravati coins that could be added to Numista, we should make sure coins from other Mon Kingdoms aren't getting incorrectly moved.

Forgive me if I was unclear, there are no coins from there now on the catalogue. There are a number of them that can be added, I have put some below:

Stephen Album and some of the Indian Auction Houses also have a number of varieties on sale regularly.

Gotcha, that clarifies things a bit!

When it comes to to Dvaravati, I would follow Zeno's classifications, as seen here:
https://www.zeno.ru/showgallery.php?cat=23137

Many of the coins that come up as Dvaravati in that ACsearch link are not truly Dvaravati, but other Mon or even Pyu issues from kingdoms such as Thaton (Mi-Chen), Beikthano, Sri Ksetra, etc. Despite their nice selection of coins, Marudhar Arts is notorious for mis-attributing these ancient Myanmar types.

If I understand correctly, we would add like this:

Myanmar, Ancient > Mon Kingdoms > Dvaravati

@Linketake42  does this sound OK to you?

If I follow the Zeno link, I see only a few types with a sort of crude, stylized conch design.

Whereas most of the acsearch hits fall under other Mon principalities.

Yes, that is correct

Dvaravati was its own state, there are move animals issues, Xeno only lists a few.
