Is Maecri an issuing entity?
I think Maecri is the issuing entity but there are some doubts with @buhasapos (author of the reference catalogue of elongated coins Elongando... https://en.numista.com/literature/volume.php?id=8853).
That catalogue uses the concepts:
- Installer: Company that install the vending machines that make the elongated coins.
- Engraver: Company that create the design.
There are different possibilities:
- installer and engraver are the same company;
- coins have the engraver's mark, and the installer is other company;
- coins have two different marks: the engraver's, and the installer's;
- more?

Regarding registering it as a Prensacar token, for us there is a difference. Prensacar purchases machines from various manufacturers and installs them in Spain and other countries (France, Portugal) under its “Prensacar” trademark and now with the “Prensacar Tokens” medals.
Maecri, on the other hand, does not install any machines in Spain, they are installed by other companies, including Prensacar; but in the designs that Maecri creates, they always include their initials “MC”. Therefore, we do not consider Maecri to be similar to Prensacar, but rather the “engraver” of those designs.
In the case of Numista, I think both companies (Prensacar Tokens https://en.numista.com/catalogue/issuing_entity.php?id=4257 and Maecri) are issuing entities. https://en.numista.com/help/add-or-modify-an-issuing-entity-in-the-catalogue-193.html The engraver is a person https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q329439

Take a look at the S-001 series from Cabárceno Park in Cantabria https://www.elongando.cat/PATRON.html?q=Cantabria. Eurotoken commissioned several machines from Maecri, but wanted to include his initials in the designs and also number them. Thus, each of the elongated coins from that installer (Eurotoken) has three markings: MC by the engraver (on one long side), ET by the installer (on the short end of the handle), and a Roman numeral "I to XII" (on the other long side).
This is an elongated coin in the S-001 series:

- MC – mark of Maecri
- ET – mark of Eurotoken
- VI – sequence number
My understanding:
- In any case, for Numista, the engraver is the person who engraves the design (unknown in this case).
- If Eurotoken did not include its mark, there would be only one issuing entity: Maecri.
For example, these elongated coins https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?se=11521&p=1 are made in a vending machine of (or owned by?) Maecri, installed by Prensacar Tokens, and they only have the privy mark “MC”, so I assume the issuing entity is Maecri, not Prensacar Tokens.
- Since Eurotoken includes its mark, both would be issuing entities: Maecri and Eurotoken (Numista allows up to two).
- Regarding the sequence number, it is not important for this (but it would be commented on the page of the coin).
Is my reasoning correct?
I mention @Danthann the referee of elongated coins. I guess you have encountered similar cases and know more about this.

Privy mark “MC”
The objects issued by Maecri have the privy mark “MC”. Could this mark be added to the database?
The guidelines say nothing related to marks of issuing entities, but numista has some privy marks. I do not know what information to provide:
- Mark: MC
- Label: Maecri privy mark
- Image: ?
