Hi all, could you help value this 1923 Sixpence It is graded by CGS (UNC 85) and purchased from a trusted dealer. Paid £120

I realise that CGS ceased trading, does this impact value?

Thanks

Well I don’t know how well trusted or accurate their graders were, but according to this conversation chart

https://weightoncoin.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=228

Unc 85 is equal to MS 65 on the Sheldon scale.

So if a buyer is well versed in Grading and he/she agrees the coin inside is MS65, then being in that slab shouldn’t affect the price that much, however if there is disagreement on the grade to that recorded on the label the achievable price drop.

MS 65 = $170 it says
