I need help identifying this Roman coin as im a total noob:
Size: 26mm and 3,5mm thick. I sadly do not have a precise scale atm but i might be able to weigh it tomorrow.

Can't help with it right now.

Lettering is nearly gone and I'm not good with worn portraits.

And most important, the reverse photo is missing. The type of figure present at the reverse could greatly help in narrowing down the type.

oh wait… it didnt attach it for some reason. here you go

That's better.

The reverse lettering is in better state, but is still not easy to read. And it's in greek, so it's a provincial issue.

I also just realised half my post was just gone, i also sent in a coin that i thought looked pretty close.

It's not the right one i think, but i thought it might still help :)

That definitely helps!

Diadumenian provincial, Nikopolis ad Istrum. Not on Numista.

Oh wow :D
Thank you!
I guess i have to see how to add that coin to Numista then, i don't feel particularly confident xD
Diadumenian didnt seem to rule for very long huh. Is he on coins rare in any way then?
I sadly can't see the prices for them on the link you sent cause of a paywall but knowing if this was a single or 2 digit value coin would be nice to know if you happen to be knowledgable on that :)
I'm actually very happy that it is from a province! my first one that i'm sure of (I do have one that some think might be from egypt, but not confirmed)

Thank you!

Diadumenian's coins are often quite wanted. Ill see if i can get a rough value for you

Yes.

30 pound, 25 euro. Not a huge amount, but still an interesting coin.
