Help IDing some Ancient Coins

5 berichten • 70 keer bekeken

Apologies for the big Post, I got a lot of 50 Ancient Greek/Roman/Islamic coins and as expected I’m having trouble identifying most of them.

I’ve separated them off into groups, A through E, from most to least identifying features. (B is Missing as I have identified the whole page)

If anyone could help out in identifying some of these coins it would be a huge help.

If you need better photos of individual coins I'll happily provide

Almost all are in too bad of a condition to be identified. A1 is Pontus Amisos.

Not only that, they all are severely overcleaned, and E3 has a very bad case of bronze disease, which is a form of corrosion that eats up a coin until nothing's left, unless you treat it, which in this case, isn't worth trying to save.

Don't let that stop you from collecting though. You can find some better coins for a cheap price on Vcoins. Don't buy from Zurqieh. They fakely patinate their coins.
