Hello all,
I have a coin here that I am pretty sure is from one of the caliphates from the Islamic states tab on here but I cannot seem to pinpoint that denomination. I believe it to be a fals or a lower denomination coin as thats what parallels other coins I have in my collection.
Here are the stats:
- A copper/bronze composition
- Does contain Arabic writing which is useful to identify it (I cannot read Arabic which would have saved me the time)
- Contains an image of an animal, possibly a wolf maybe but its to difficult to tell. Could also be mythical beast but not one I am familiar with.
- 18mm in diameter and nearly 2mm in thickness
- 2.5g in weight
