Diameter of this coin?

Hi,

I have a what looks like the correct gold plated silver coin and I suspect the diameter may be wrong in the description here.

The one I have has the smooth side and is 2mm thick but is not 26mm diameter but 38mm.

The gold plated non silver version is know to be 40mm but is 2.5mm thick.

The value I paid is only fractionally above the price of a gold over copy but needless to say I am interested double checking the true diameter

Assuming a cylinder and 10 g weight:

At 26 mm dia. and 2 mm thickness the density would be  9.4 g/cc.

At 38 mm dia. and 2 mm thickness the density would be 4.4 g/cc.

26 mm dia. is reasonable, 38 mm dia. is not reasonable. What does yours weigh?

thanks for your response.  I am almost certain this is a gold over copper coin based on the weight stats given by rsirian.

Also I re-measured with a more accurate tool and it comes out at 39mm and closer to the 40mm.

That said its definitely 2mm thick.

I got it for a reasonable price really so have no issue either way although a silver one would have been nice.

OK Polette ,  i will add and duplicate later.  I can't find a hallmark anywhere but it definitely doesn't match any of the other descriptions.

As you say no milled edge, its 2mm and smooth width but odd 39mm diameter.  Assume the pictures I sent will be ok ?

Add the weight. It cannot be 10 grams.

This is actually the third one with COPY and plain edge.  N#155912 Gold plated Copper.

I found the hallmark , its tiny and on the rim see attached photo.

RE weight - my scales are not super accurate but approx 20g.
