Silver ounces

Hello all, looking to start buying silver ounces again and on ebay they are charging like way above spot price. Anyone know any cheaper places?

Even after shipping from Hong Kong, tax and tariff in EU they were still more competetive than mints here. Delivery was within a week to Ireland.

Most places in the EU are mostly out of stock for silver, but Hong Kong supply still appears to be available.

Honestly, now is not the best time to be buying silver as the price has risen alot recently.

The price has doubled from now and 6 months ago. It might be worth just waiting to see if it falls back down to normal again.

Its impossible to tell the future, but many indicators suggest that bullion will stay high for the medium to long term. The global economy is turbulent, and major currencies are facing possible resets, along with increased industrial demand for silver coupled with a mining supply crisis. Also consider the reciprocating trend towards de-dollarisation and the increase in bullion backed multi currency payment systems that are emerging (eg. BRICS pay with infrustructural vaults as part of Belts and Road initiative).

Far from gambling the farm on Silver, I would recommend a conservative long term investment despite the all time high price. This may prove to be a valuable inflation hedge.

Today, Jan 8th, I can't find any US dealers selling 90% at spot, although my favorite, SD Bullion is darned close. Stackers shy away from junk because the math is a little more complicated. Units are face value instead of weight.

The biggest problem with junk is that it is worn, and therefore below minted melt value. Most reputable dealers will account for this. For instance, the melt value of US $1.00 is .7234 ounces of .999 silver. Most dealers will adjust this to .718 or so. For reference, the last batch I bought from SD Bullion in September, the multiplier was .715. Weighing the total batch confirmed this.

I prefer junk as a primary because I can purchase it with no premium, and often end up with collectable coins.

I have nothing against bullion coins, but prefer government issued like Eagles, Maples,  Libertads, Britannias, etc. Some now have numistatic value in addition: especially the Libertads with low mintages.
