⚠️ In this topic, “value” means the relative value of the denomination in reference to the main currency unit. For example,
1 Euro Cent has a value of 0.01 in Euro
½ Ducat has a value of 3/5 in Catalan Pound
When a page with currency is editing, the denomination can be selected (if it exists) or select the option “Other” and write the name. This create the denomination with that name (in English or French), and the addition of other information (names in other languages, and value) can be requested in the forum. This is explained in the FAQ https://en.numista.com/help/add-or-modify-a-denomination-in-the-catalogue-206.html
However, neither the FAQ nor the edit page say that the value can be write in the text of the new denomination. For example,
1 Euro Cent (0.01)
½ Ducat (3/5)
and admins change them to
1 Euro Cent → Value 0.01
½ Ducat → Value 3/5
without requesting it in the forum.
I suggest that this be explicitly stated in the FAQ:

You can either use the “Other” option directly in the denomination selector of the editing form of the page, and type the denomination which will be reviewed afterwards by an administrator, or post a request on the forum indicating:
