The simple fix is to rename it “Series of Doubloons” but maybe just “Brazilian Doubloons” would be better.

Thanks. I wonder if these were the ones intended to be Cruzados.

@ramgu2005  and @adanieluy  ,  should this series be named "Brazil Doubloons"?   Or “Brazil Cruzados”?

Can you explain? I can't see what you mean with this.

Just 10 options: you understand binary, or you don't.
Catalog Referee Coins, Banknotes & Exonumia: Uruguay, Cuba, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Panama, Ecuador, Zamunda, Parva Domus and more.

It seems redundant to put “Series of” at the start of a series name. Those words don't add any value to the name.

Yes, we do not need to call the series a series.

Also, we noticed there was an empty series called Cruzados.  So I was wondering if these types are more commonly called doubloons or cruzados (I am not familiar with Brazil's coinage, so maybe that's a dumb question).

Thanks!

@bjherbison Ah, OK, is clear now, You are right,  it makes no sense, so I will be fixing it in next days (unless someone want to make the work). The procedure will be to write the correct name on each page to change it. By the way, the correct name would be Doublon, since it should reflect original name. Doblon was a Spanish coin, (nickname) for 2 gold Escudos, not sure why assigned to Brazilian coins; maybe @ramgu2005 have information about this. On my side I will ask to who started adding coins to this series.

@tdziemia I looked existing series and found “Série Real Cruzado” that is for Portuguese coins, 1408-1415; it means 80 years before discovery of América, so nothing to see with Brazilian coins; also there are 2 more series “Cruzado (1986-1989)” and “Cruzado Novo (1989-1990)”, they were created for Brazilian notes for the currencies on mentioned years; nothing to see with coins, as far as I know.

It is renamed, thread can be marked as “solved”.

And I have removed the previous name from the database.

Sorry @adanieluy and @tdziemia I'm having some health problems and I'm spending less time online... This series are called here “Doubloon series” … I already saw that administration changed it to DOBLONS, but I think the correct name in english is DOUBLOONS … Best wishes to you all!
