reconstruction group – 3 coins in 2019 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notre-Dame_de_Paris
There are two series of coins, related to Notre-Dame de Paris as UNESCO World Heritage, with the same design: 850th anniversary in 2013, and the reconstruction in 2019. Each year commemorates a different event, but they could be joined in one series, because both groups of coins use the same design in both sides.
The proposed name in English is
UNESCO World Heritage: 850th anniversary, and reconstruction, of Notre-Dame de Paris
but the local name is in French, and I do not speak French. It could be (I used a translator)
Patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO : 850e anniversaire, et reconstruction, de Notre-Dame de Paris
Add:
- Name (local, FR): Patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO : 850e anniversaire, et reconstruction, de Notre-Dame de Paris ⚠️ See comments
- Sides to display: Obverses ⚠️ Both sides have same design, except the legend in obverses
- Description (EN): (see below)
----------------------------
Series dedicated to the 850th anniversary, and reconstruction, of Notre-Dame de Paris, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites are places of importance to cultural or natural heritage. Cultural heritage consists of monuments, groups of buildings, and sites, while natural heritage consists of natural features, geological and physiographical formations, and natural sites which are important from the point of view of science, conservation or natural beauty. Notre-Dame de Paris is a medieval Catholic cathedral located in Paris, France. Its construction began in 1163 and was largely completed by 1260, though it was modified in succeeding centuries. A fire in 2019 caused serious damage, closing the cathedral for extensive and costly repairs.
The series consists of two sets of euro coins of different denominations and composition (silver and gold), minted by the Monnaie de Paris in 2013 (six coins that commemorate the 850th anniversary) and 2019 (three coins that commemorate the reconstruction). The obverses and the reverses have the same design, except for the legend that mentions the event in obverses.
