Picked these up recently, but am unsure of at least one of them. I don't have scales to measure the weight accurately, nor anything to measure the silver content. I will end up heading to the local coin shop to know for sure, but wanted to make my first post here and hope you all could help. Thanks in advance.
yeah, the ID'ing wasn't bad…just trying to get a feel for if they are original or fakes. One I am sure is good, one I am skeptical of, and the other I have no real feel for. But thanks again for helping me with this.
I have high hopes for them lol…but fakes seem to get better every time you turn around. Thank you again for your help…my next post will be much more coherent.
My first instincts said fake, all seem to have rather strange wear and damage patterns.
As one example, on the inside of the crown band on the 32 shillings, there are scratches which are just within the band (ruling out PMD scratches) as they don’t extend to any other parts within the immediate area, this leads me to question whether a mintmaster in their right mind would produce such shoddy work.

That is the one I had the most reservation about. What does your gut say about the other two?
For all three I am sceptical, obviously I am just looking at images, so the feel, weight, sound etc which comes from handling them is missing from my perspective. However if I were looking to purchase them from the internet, based on the images, I wouldn’t buy them.
Obviously you have bought them, and many times the question of real or fake, can be answered from where you bought them from and for how much.

Hey @marshall556 did you get any confirmation one way or the other on these (weight, diameter, LCS opinion)? I noticed some other differences in your image and the example listed on the Hamburg numista page.
King pointed out the details in the headband earlier and what he said makes sense.
I thought it was interesting comparing to the headband of the one I just got, and mine has texture in that area although mine is a 1733.
The reeding looks a bit off as well. I have included a side by side comparison of mine here.
One thing that sticks out to me on the East Africa is all the wear seen on the reverse of the coin in your image, but then looking at the reeding there is not very much wear at all. Nothing else sticks out to me and I dont own one of those for a better comparison. That is one I want to eventually get. Such a cool piece.
If you got these from the same seller, Id be suspicious of the others after seeing the differences in the Hamburg.
