GOLD BUFFALO NICKELS??? [opgelost]

Are these real? And if they are what's their value..someone paid with them at my store. 

Yes, I believe thay are real. One is a 1937 (?). Mintmark is below five cents but is too blurry  to make out. The other the date is illegible but no mint mark inplies Philadelphia mint. Both are obviously gold toned which adds no real value and both are worn. Possibly 50 cents to a dollar each.  I give them to kids who think they are really cool and possibly plant a seed for a new collector.

Coins look real, but with an amateur brass or gold tone plating on them. Somebody might have been practicing their electroplating skills or maybe were trying to make a pretty jewelry piece. Fun to keep but not gold and not valuable.
