Is this a proof set - it looks good. It's in a frame and it looks like the coins have started to tone as a result of being in direct sunlight I guess.. I will take pics of the obverse tomorrow if required ?
I'm not sure what you mean ? If it has proof coins in it's a proof set then ? I don't know; I'm still sorta new to this set stuff ha. I'm planning on going to tonyk1965's tomorrow; if he's in I'll take them and get his professional professor opinion ha !

Generally proof sets are accompanied by certificates and clearly mention "Proof Set". I don't have a proof set from Falklands so not sure. From the photo some coins do look like proof coins, but you can't be 100% certain.
I hope it is then because it'll have the silver liberation crown. With it being framed I guess that's why there is no certificate; I think I got it off a house Clarence guy or something like that !
Mark's just left here, it's definitely a proof set, it's a shame someone has gotten grubby finger prints on a couple of them. But all in all a very good purchase m8
The coins in the set may appear to look just brilliant uncirculated, but proof sets issued for the mainland are identical in quality to these Falklands coins.

Better pics although not fantastic - still haven't got my camera.
The question now is then is the crown silver like some people including tony have said it may be ! I need to know if the Cu-Ni weighs less ? As NGC do not have the weight for that one. :(
That is what I was thinking rick, hence why I was asking the Cu-Ni weight in case it differed. :S How else am I gunna check ? Maybe I should just give up - I'm happy anyway lol !
