How many things on this coin page that are wrong can you find?  N#576200

My favorite is this comment in the Comments section:

Quantities are limited—don’t miss this “golden” opportunity for this special one-year only edition!

Hmm, it's a one-year issue because of the dual-date so that part sounds right to me, what am I missing?

But it does say the coin is tri-metallic and that looks wrong.

Let's start with the coin name. That should be 25 Dollars (American Gold Eagle, Semiquincentennial).

I don't understand how a coin with such a name gets in our catalog.

Yes the composition. It should be Gold (.9167) entered as 916.7 and the exact composition in the Additional details.

There is a date on the coin so why the ND?

Type Coins is wrong. It's a Non-circulating coin.

The Obverse and Reverse description should be a brief and precise description of the devices engraved and not the biographical notes. Instead they are a blatant plagiarism of the US Mint site.

There is no Script and no Lettering on the Obverse or Reverse.

The engraver is missing on both the Obverse and Reverse.

The Edge type is missing

The Comments are also a blatant plagiarism of the US Mint site right down to the aforementioned caution not to miss this “golden” opportunity for this special one-year only edition.

The coin is still being produced by the mint there is no set limit so where did the 18,500 mintage come from?

Most of these mistakes could have been avoided just by looking at the page already in Numista. N#300376

“Obverse (heads) Reverse (tails)”? Really? Dont get me started.

As I said, straight from the Mint Web site:

DEI?

I don't understand DEI? It was a copy/paste from the US Mint web site.

It's related to people being hired for jobs thay are not qualified to do.

Oh. I agree whoever made that coin could have done a better job.

More important, why was it even approved in such a state?

Creation requests can be send back for correction to the creator or edited by the referee (even before publishing).

Yes, exactly!

Don’t worry everyone, I have a pending request that will clean things up for this coin.

I have altered the title, added the type of coin (non-circulating issue), added text for both the obverse and reverse and edited the comment, to name the many changes for the page.

I will update this post when the request gets (hopefully) validated.

I hear every coin you jingle!

The total minted is not to exceed 18,500 so that is one thing that is correct and is currently on backorder.

👍That should be fun. 2026 ASE was so utterly dismissed for inclusion to an existing page.

Good news, my request for this coin has been validated!

Looks good (except the date still needs to be fixed).  So now we have two coin pages for this coin.

I made a pending request to remove the ND line of the coin and to add the correct 2026 date:
