Okay,
So I have a Sesquicentennial Of American Independence gold coin that I was thinking about getting graded. I came across a website and it recommended that it not be graded as it would not be worth the cost of getting it graded. What do you think I should do? Get it graded or just leave it ungraded? I plan to keep it for a while at least before I even think about selling it.
I never said that I would not sell it. I said I would be hanging onto it for a while before I think about selling it. If I do get it graded, that doesn't mean I have to sell it or vice versa.
As for the pictures, my camera died and my phone doesn't do the coin justice.
Why would you get it graded?
I am sure you could sell it for its full value without paying someone to put a crappy plastic box on it with their over valued opinion on it, just post photos in
Coin identifications and valuations
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
I think that someone would accept a professional grading over a noob attempting to value. As for pictures, as I have said my camera is dead and my phone is not a good one to use for pictures. My phone can't even show detail other than a vague outline of a figure on the obverse.
