Looks like Malay states to me.

EDIT: It's from Yemen, 1/2 Baiza KM#2. Lots of Yemeni coins recently, maybe we should just assume all unknown machine struck Arabic coins are from Yemen.

 It also says 'although dated AH1291 (1874) was actually struck in 1896' and the link above is for a similar coin that had nine bids and US $76.51 was selling price.  :)

Does a word in arabic refers to the fact that it's a british protectorate? "british" I think, but as I don't read arabic... someone do?
