Looks like Malay states to me.
EDIT: It's from Yemen, 1/2 Baiza KM#2. Lots of Yemeni coins recently, maybe we should just assume all unknown machine struck Arabic coins are from Yemen.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AH1291-1874-YEMEN-WESTERN-ADEN-PROTECTORATE-LAHEJ-1-2-BAIZA-AU-KM-2-/330679911386?nma=true&si=Eu%252Bg3mEby8TVqkNMiZSWihaVZms%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
AH1291 (1874) YEMEN WESTERN ADEN PROTECTORATE LAHEJ 1/2 BAIZA KM-2
It also says 'although dated AH1291 (1874) was actually struck in 1896' and the link above is for a similar coin that had nine bids and US $76.51 was selling price.
It is on here already:

Does a word in arabic refers to the fact that it's a british protectorate? "british" I think, but as I don't read arabic... someone do?
