Indian state coinage are very interesting, because of their crudeness.

Before the Second World War, the Indian states and Mughal Empire, under influence of the British, issued crude copper, silver, and gold coinage to stick with tradition, much like the Chinese issuing cast coinage although Spanish pesos and European silver would circulate alongside the cash coins.

Here in the US people throw away their pennys. Just go to the store and you can find some in the parking lot. The people don't want them, but they won't let them stop making them. To make and ship them costs 3 to 7 cents each, a lot is gas prices. We should stop making them.
