George V Coronation coin June 22 1911. Anybody seen this version before ?

This is from a friend's collection, but I can't seem to find any info about it.
It could be a medal, or a holed coin, but everything I see says that medals had both George and Mary on them, not on his own like here.
Anybody know more ?
It looks like a medal to me. But I am  not sure. I have never seen anything like this before.

Check my doubles ;)
I've seen similar. It is like a town's own commemorative medal.
Yes, it looks like a town's or a council's own commemorative medal, I've not been able to find out which town though I'm afraid. And the only image that I've found that matches, links to this ebay page http://www.ebay.com/itm/KIng-George-V-Coronation-22-June-1911-/350941208499, that doesn't have a great deal of information either.

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
George V had an awesome beard.  I wish mine would grow like that  :(

Thanks folks.
I'll tell her it's unlikely to be worth much, but it's a nice curiosity.
I have one the same in bronze.  Have you had any luck with origin etc.
Hi Anne.
No. But she's Ebayed it anyway, as part of a job-lot of old tokens and medallions.
