I am wondering about the modern India or China, considering their population is 5 times that of the U.S.A. So just enough to satify basic demand would be high, let alone for increased economic growth.
I knew somebody would mention this. The 1982 cents are divided between bronze and zinc metal types, as well as between large date and small date varieties. Even the Philadelphia Mint did not keep mintage records for each of these types. So there is no certainty that any one of the 1982 cent types really does exceed the 2000-D mintage of 8.7 billion.
