Copper rounds

These things seem to have a huge markup. Very modern phenom?
What value does one ounce of copper really have? Something about a Dollar?
I don't have any... yet it seems. But some of them look fun.
Seems to have a bit of the Foil Hat sniff, some fringe politics etc.
Today's price for copper is $3.06 per pound or $0.19 per ounce, making it about a 400% markup if they sell the rounds at $1.00 each.
Now in 2018 copper is a good way to diversify your stack but at a cheap price.
I would not usually buy copper rounds as they have a high premium but if you like a design you are buying the artwork and not the coin in question.
If you simply want copper weight try coin roll hunting or searching change as many countries still have copper coins in circulation eg. Uk ad Us.
(a 1 cent used to be worth 3 cents and 1p -2p and 2p-3 p scrap value.

Also LARGE copper bars don't go amiss for lower premium.

Looks lovely,
you can also make a pretty penny or to selling them but it's a great thing to keep and to look at.
