Petrus, you recommend zeno in every forum I have frequented, but there is a major problem. Membership is closed on zeno and hence most people can't submit their coins or even ask a question...
Citeer: jadejackalCan you get me a referral to sign up?
People recommend this site but when I go to register I get this:
"New user registrations not allowed."
I have politely emailed too, but no one ever replies.
So perhaps you see my frustration when people recommend www.zeno.ru?
Referrals doesn't work either as I tried that too. I waited over two years before I was able to get registered and that was just sheer luck. They briefly opened up registration for about a week or so and I tried again and it worked.
Furthermore, flooding charm's email address with requests to identify coins from non-members is just plain rude and inconsiderate. So, you are pretty much out of luck. Just try and try again until it works...
I did not know the there is no new membership possible.
I'll ask for the reason.
I know that a little bit of waiting is neccessary when mailing to 'charm@postman.ru'.
I had to wait about 3 weeks before I got the membership.
And indeed I did send a mail to the webmaster and did not get yet any response. Indeed strange!
I will keep you updated.
Another possibility is this site: http://www.chiefacoins.com/
Send the pictures to Haseeb.
He really is a very nice guy and will help where possible.

Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
I have some questions. 1) I see that some places have the denomination listed as Sri Mananka. Is the numista catalog wrong with it listed as tetradrachm. 2) Is MNIS# 197 from Mitchner Non-Islamic States?
I have uploaded the new pictures to numista, now someone just needs to verify.
Citeer: jadejackalOkay, good to know about charm.ru.

1) I am not a fan of authors assuming the denomination of a coin. I strongly doubt these coins were called tetradrachm in Nepal. The unit of currency should always be named using its original, native name. If it is unknown or not available, then just use the generic term "Unit". So, you have 1/2 Unit, 1/4 Unit, Unit and Double Units, etc...The legend on the coin is "Sri Mananka".
2) MNIS is indeed short for Mitchiner Non-Islamic States...
Greetings.

Can I show this coin on Zeno?
I am the moderator sections Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan.
