The reeding must have worn off, I have the same coin with a barely visible reeding.

Check out my Facebook, Kenneth Gucyski.
I even by magnification don't see tracks of reeding and in addition, the diameter of my coins 28.55 mm (more than a catalogue 28.5 mm). Mystery.......
Could you post a picture of the rim face at the camera, rather than at an angle?
I hope this will help.

Best regards

Igor

Yepp, the reeding has been worn off. I can see some small marks on the edge that indicates it's once upon a time were reeded.
I don't think, because it required small reducing in diameter of coin (see diameter measurement in post). You can see that diameter not less from standard. Ohhh....
Curious.  My eyes are not good enough to see the traces of old reeding.  Kenny G can you post a photo of yours?
If you know how the reeding is made, then you can understand that some coins escaped this treatment.
I do not think this coin has a worn off reeding, without being worn completely. I think this is a regular coin without reeding

This wiki article is not explaining how reedings are made

but I agree this lack of reading  does not come from the wear of the coin

After the coin is struck, it is rolled in a machine to make the reeded edge.
I have seen a little movie about it, but I can not find it

It may happen sometimes, like in my topic from over three years ago, with Australian coins for example.

Thank you all for your comments.
Submitted as error coin without reeding.

My 1977 20f looks the same.  Not reeded, same KM#.  Thanks for pointing this out.
