Large Arabic copper coin

25.16 grams. Was probably more as it looks like it has wear.  I think there is an Arabic "8" at the top of the first photo.

Thanks Don.  The annoying thing is that I even had 1865 as the date (best guess on my part looking at it under the loupe).  I was hoping that it was older given the shape it was in.  I am wondering it it was a metal detector find by the wear.  I paid two dollars for it, which in this condition was probably too much.

yes, 2 dollars is too much.
This coin is usually  easy to  find, for $15 -20 in XF or  very nice VF condition .  Even I have this coin ( 8 kharoubs I guess, right? )  

no reason to  get  in   such condition, even for 2 $.

from the other side - probably you will sell it for   $ 3
